Connect with the same Apple account
Sign in with the same Apple account on both devices. Different Wi-Fi networks and cellular connections are supported. Keep the Mac awake and online. Networks that block direct connections may prevent a connection.

1. Prepare your Mac

  1. Open the downloaded DMG and drag the Vibescreen icon to the Applications folder beside it. When copying finishes, launch Vibescreen from Applications.
  2. Follow the Home guide to allow Screen Recording and Accessibility, then click Reopen.
  3. Choose browser Apple login. Compare the confirmation code on the Mac and webpage, authenticate on Apple's official page, and check that the app says signed in.
  4. Enable remote control and unattended access for approved devices, then choose Enable remote access. Keep your Mac awake, online and logged in to its user account.

If a keychain alert says “RemoteMac”

RemoteMac is the internal name Vibescreen uses to store login information and device authentication keys. Check that the requesting app in the macOS dialog is Vibescreen. If required, enter your login-keychain password in that macOS dialog.

Allow approves this access only; Always Allow also approves future access to the displayed saved item. Each item may need approval. Denying access can prevent saved login or connection information from loading. Apple’s keychain guide

Set up Mac permissions

  1. From the app Home, open Screen Recording and Accessibility settings in order.
  2. In System Settings → Privacy & Security, enable Vibescreen. If it is missing, use the + button to add it from Applications.
  3. After allowing both permissions, click Reopen on the app Home. The reopened app guides Apple sign-in and your first connection.

Screen Recording lets the connected device see your Mac screen. Accessibility enables remote clicks and typing. Input Monitoring permission is not required. For viewing only, begin with Screen Recording.

2. Connect from iPhone or iPad

  1. Install Vibescreen from the App Store. iOS/iPadOS 17 or later is required.
  2. Sign in with the same Apple account as on the Mac.
  3. Select your Mac in the viewer. Compare the Mac identity and approve the viewer in the Mac app when prompted.
  4. Once connected, check video and input. The devices do not have to use the same Wi-Fi.

Precise input

In default trackpad mode, move one finger to move the pointer and tap to click. Two-finger tap is right-click; two-finger movement scrolls; hold then move to drag. Pinch to zoom.

Use the keyboard button to type directly. The shortcut button above the keyboard provides common combinations and lets you add your own.

If you cannot connect

Check Mac power, login, internet, sharing and permissions. Waking a sleeping Mac and unlocking it after reboot are not guaranteed. Retry on Wi-Fi if a direct connection fails. When the picture freezes, stop input and follow the reconnection status.

End the session in the viewer. Stopping screen transmission on the Mac keeps it available for future connections; turning remote access off in Settings blocks connections until you enable it again. Mac audio accompanies the remote screen; adjust volume on the connected device. File access, clipboard and unattended access for approved devices can be enabled in Mac settings.

Update in the app

From this version, use Mac Settings → App updates or the Vibescreen menu → Check for updates to install new versions. Installation and restart wait while a remote connection is in use. Opening or reactivating the app checks for new version information and shows an update button in the left panel when available. Automatic download and installation are off. If you already use this version, check for updates in the app instead of reinstalling the DMG.
